| European
Union Directives relating to Restriction of use of certain Hazardous
Substances (RoHS) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE) March 2006.
Polamco designs,
manufactures and markets a broad range of interconnect products,
primarily for the military/ aerospace markets. Most Polamco products
fall outside of Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances
(RoHS) limits and are therefore exempt from the directive. Many
Polamco products are free of the substances that RoHS controls.
Systematic review, and where necessary, the introduction of alternative
materials in existing product ranges, will ensure compliance of
products from Polamco.
Recent and
pending exemptions under RoHS regarding specific applications
of lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium are relevant
to Polamco products that contain these substances.
Military and
customer specifications may call for specific plating and other
requirements that include controlled substances. If required nearly
all of our plated products are available in treatments that are
free or essentially free from substances controlled by RoHS. Customers
seeking alternatives should contact Polamco with application requirements.
Polamco has
also conducted a careful review of the scope defined under Article
2 and the list of products in Annexes 1A and 1B of the directive
covering Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Based
on the review, Polamco does not design, manufacture or sell products
subject to the WEEE directive.

questions, please contact Paul Rees
at Polamco directly.
