VG Series - Supply Approval to VG95319-1011 (SCREENED)

Polamco are pleased to announce our approval to manufacture and supply backshells to VG95319-1011. These provide a range of popular backshell styles in straight or 90 degree form, to accommodate heat shrink boots, EMC screen termination with band and cone termination for EMC screening braid or non-metallic cable protection braid.

35 Series - RFI/EMI Cable Sealing Backshell (SCREENED)

EMC cable sealing backshell, offering screen termination and environmental cable sealing. Two tapered grounding cones are housed separately from the sealing grommet to ensure optimum and independent alignment of the cones, whilst the resilient compression grommet is housed in a counter bore within the backshell body for excellent IP68 immersion sealing against the cable jacket when the rear nut is tightened.

36 Series - RFI/EMI Cable Sealing Backshell (SCREENED)

Similar to 35 Series EMC backshell with IP68 cable sealing but incorporating two or three separate grounding cones for the combination of individual and/or overall shield termination. Both 35/36 backshells may be specified with heavy duty strain relief or with plain nut and no strain relief. Straight, 45° & 90° Backshell Options

39 Series - RFI/EMI Cable Sealing Backshell (SCREENED)

Again, similar to 35/36 Series EMC backshell with IP68 cable sealing but the tapered conical grounding cone traps the overall screening braid directly against the backshell body for the most direct bonding path. Straight, 45° & 90° Backshell Options

60 Series - Memory Metal Ring Backshell (SCREENED)

EMC screening backshell for use with heat shrink memory metal ring for termination of overall screen. Step-up versions (large cable/small connector) as standard to eliminate need for additional intermediate backshells. Spin-coupling or direct coupling intermediate backshells may still be specified where preferred, together with alternative lengths and angle profiles. A suitable heat shrink boot should be specified to provide cable sealing. Straight, 45° & 90° Backshell Options

64 Series - Cone Clamp Backshell (SCREENED)

Cone clamp EMC screening backshell for individual cable screens. The castellated tapered cone allows an even distribution and clamping of the individual screens without crushing. Screen termination requires no calibrated applications tooling and may be reliably re-used for re-work etc. Can be specified with heavy duty strain relief or with plain nut and no strain relief, when a suitable heat shrink boot may then be specified to provide strain relief and cable sealing. KM Series - Spin-coupling EMC Backshell (SCREENED)

EMC backshell assembly for termination of single or multiple individual screens. A metallic mesh tape (supplied separately) is wrapped around each individual screen until all are encompassed and the bundle fits tightly within the backshell body, providing low-resistance and secure 360° termination of each screen. The tape end is fed through a slot and secured on the exterior of the backshell body, along with any overall screen, by a constant-force spring or band strap.   Can be specified with heavy duty strain relief clamp or a suitable heat shrink boot may be specified where required. 70 Series - Magna-Form Backshell (SCREENED)

Backshell assembly with pre-terminated EMC screening braid sock. The in-house magna-form screen termination by method, ensures high-reliability with simplicity of use within the harness or equipment assembly without the need for additional assembly tooling . Alternative braid lengths and specifications may be supplied on request. A suitable heat shrink boot should be specified to provide cable sealing. Straight, 45° & 90° Backshell Options

88 Series - Band-In-A-Can Backshell (SCREENED)

Versatile screening backshell assembly, often referred to as ‘Band-in-a-can’ for EMC screening applications where additional cable strain relief is required, without cable sealing. Similar in style and application as the BT series but with an additional 360 degree cover over the banding screen termination area which incorporates a heavy duty clamp assembly for reliable cable strain relief. Straight, 45° & 90° Options

89 Series - Double Band-In-A-Can Backshell (SCREENED)

Dual screen termination areas within an extended protective 360 degree cover with cable clamp. Straight, 45° & 90° Backshell Options

91 Series - Spring Backshell (SCREENED)

EMC screen termination via easy-to-use constant force stainless steel spring, providing reliable assembly without the need for costly calibrated application tooling. Alternative chamber lengths may be specified. A suitable heat shrink boot is required to provide cable sealing and cable strain relief. Shares the same adaptor design as the BT Series Backshell. Straight, 45° & 90° Backshell Options

BT Series - Banding Backshell (SCREENED)

Shares the same backshell design as the 91 Series but with screen termination with a stainless steel band via calibrated application tooling. Often used without protective heat shrink boot, where cable sealing is not required, although the same features as the 91 series ensures secure location and keying for the use of a suitable heat shrink boot where needed. Straight, 45° & 90° Backshell Options

95 Series - Barrel Thread Backshell (SCREENED)

Braid-trap style EMC screening backshell assembly where 360 degree screen termination is provided by gripping the overall cable braid between two coarse threads. No special application tooling is required for assembly or re-work. Can be specified with heavy duty strain relief or with plain nut and no strain relief, when a suitable heat shrink boot may then be specified to provide strain relief and cable sealing. AP Series - Banding Backshell (SCREENED)

Variant of the BT Series backshell which has been specifically designed for the European Market. Comprehensive range of standard chamber lengths from 10mm to 45mm in 5mm increments, each with full range of cable entry diameter options. Straight, 45° & 90° Backshell Options

37 Series - Cable Sealing Backshell (NON-SCREENED)

Cable sealing spin-coupling backshell with resilient grommet that compresses and seals against the cable jacket when the rear nut is tightened. The grommet is housed in a counter bore within the backshell body for excellent immersion capability with an IP68 rating. May be specified with heavy duty strain relief or with plain nut and no strain relief. Straight, 45° & 90° Backshell Options

76 Series - Low Profile Fixed Backshell (NON-SCREENED)

Low profile grommet compression backshell. Often referred to as an ‘E’ nut, together with knurled keying for a bonding of a heat shrink boot or tubing..

Standard, open frame style, cable clamp strain relief backshell. Machined from solid in either straight or 90 degree form for maximum strength, durability and reliability. Shell size determines cable clamp size as standard, although alternatives may be specified on request.

96LP Series - Low Profile Strain Relief Backshell (NON-SCREENED)

Low profile standard, open frame style, cable clamp strain relief backshell. Machined from solid in either straight or 90 degree form for maximum strength, durability and reliability. Shell size determines cable clamp size as standard, although alternatives may be specified on request.

97 Series - Heat Shrink Backshell (NON-SCREENED)

Standard backshell for heat shrink boot. Shell size determines cable entry diameter as standard, although alternatives may be specified on request. The integral groove and knurled rear provides secure location and sealing for lipped heat shrink boots to compliment sealed harness systems without overall screening.

98 Series - Low Profile Spin Coupling Backshell for Open Wire Bundles (N-S)
