The Polamco range of split D-subminiature backshells for band screen termination have been engineered to combine high performance mechanical and EMC protection with the convenience of simplified assembly over complex wiring when using the ever-popular D-sub miniature connector styles.

Each backshell assembly consists of two separate side sections that have been precision machined from solid to provide mechanically strong yet very thin-walled and light weight assemblies.  A carefully engineered stepped lip arrangement around each corresponding half ensures both secure location and sound EMC screening performance when in-situ and each assembly is provided with the necessary low-profile fixings to ensure simple and compact installation around the cables without damage.

The long understood benefits of split styled-Sub miniature backshells is that they can both simplify new harness build when accommodating the typical complex wiring usually associated with combination or high-density layouts and/or allow post-assembly mechanical or EMC upgrades to harnesses that have already been built.

The Polamco machined backshells take these benefits further with their compact dimensions and versatility of styles that have been realised through our in-house design and precision machining manufacture.  A wide range of straight and angled shell dimensions may be specified across the series which are manufactured and supplied with our usual extensive choice of RoHS compliant materials and plating finishes.

Polamco have just completed another busy week taking our product range and capability to Design Engineers around the world - this time exhibiting at the popular IDEF'11, International Defence Industry Fair at the Tuyap Fair, Convention and Congress Centre in Istanbul, Turkey. This was Polamco's second time of exhibiting at the show, and it was good to meet design engineers from many different OEM companies who were interested in Polamco plus meeting old and new friends in the Turkish Interconnect Harness Industry
