Polamco would like to thank all those who visited us during what proved to be an excellent and very busy Electronica exhibition in Munich. As usual, we had many of our new product developments on hand, with our team of technical sales and engineering design specialists to assist with the many detailed applications requests.

Of particular international interest was our new range of expanded beam D38999 derived fibre-optic connectors. Although one of our most recent product launches, this family of lightweight but extremely robust and reliable fibre-optic connectors has already been specified on a number of leading Defence and Aerospace programmes, where the particular combination of D38999 derived performance features and expanded beam technology are proving themselves to be a perfect match for some of the most demanding applications.

New to our range of popular D38999 derived RJ45 and USB connectors on show were our more compact and light-weight variants accommodating the higher performance Cat 6 and Cat6 10Gbit RJ45 and our smaller, size 15 USB-A and USB-B connectors. This further extended range of products is now proving a very popular choice worldwide as high-performance and high-reliability but fully mateable and interchangeable alternatives to the ubiquitous ‘clip-together assembly’ style as was once the only available market choice.

Popular too was our comprehensive overview of our broad range of rectangular connectors accessories, in particular our backshells and protective covers for generic Micro-D and D-Subminiature connectors for our many advanced Defence and Satellite Electronics applications.

It’s always great to have the chance to meet our Industry friends and customers from around the world and to understand and solve some of their more challenging interconnect needs and this Electronica exhibition provided yet another excellent opportunity for this. To be fair, without such hands-on exhibition opportunities, it is often really hard for us to fully present the true versatility and performance of our in-house interconnect design and manufacture capability and, in this case, the presence of our Design and Engineering Manager proved very useful to our visitors on many occasions through the week, with new design solutions being discussed and offered’ there-and-then’ during the meetings.

However, whilst this was another great show for us and those that joined us there, we do also recognise and fully understand that for a number of you, it’s less easy right now to accommodate the necessary time and resource to visit some of these more international shows. Because of this, Polamco are now re-introducing our popular technical road shows, where we will once again bring together this successful combination of our new product displays and our technical support team for you, right to your door.
