Backshells for connectors to VG95319-1006, VG95319-1007 and VG95319-1008 (Mil-Dtl-38999, Series 3)

Polamco are pleased to announce our approval to manufacture and supply backshells to VG95319-1011. These provide a range of popular backshell styles in straight or 90 degree form, to accommodate heat shrink boots, EMC screen termination with band and cone termination for EMC screening braid or non-metallic cable protection braid.

Our approval and release to VG95319-1011 covers backshells that are manufactured in Aluminium Alloy with olive drab cadmium plate finish, Marine Nickel Aluminium Bronze and passivated Stainless Steel.  However, as with all Polamco backshells and connectors, manufacture and supply in a wide range of alternative materials and finishes is possible to exactly the same form, without the formal VG release.

The Polamco range of split D-subminiature backshells for band screen termination have been engineered to combine high performance mechanical and EMC protection with the convenience of simplified assembly over complex wiring when using the ever-popular D-sub miniature connector styles.

Each backshell assembly consists of two separate side sections that have been precision machined from solid to provide mechanically strong yet very thin-walled and light weight assemblies.  A carefully engineered stepped lip arrangement around each corresponding half ensures both secure location and sound EMC screening performance when in-situ and each assembly is provided with the necessary low-profile fixings to ensure simple and compact installation around the cables without damage.

Polamco backshells are carefully designed for the easy application of screening braid and suitable heat shrink boots to ensure the proper degree of EMC performance, mechanical strength, strain relief and environmental protection.

The use of HellermanTyton® heat shrink moulded shapes in conjunction with special adhesives makes it easy to fabricate complete harnessing and interconnection systems of the highest quality, with minimum weight and bulk.

Polamco hold extensive stocks of Hellermann Tyton heat shrink moulded shapes and transitions, adhesives and screening braid, which have all been carefully selected to suit our adaptor profiles and performance requirements
